Dunlop GCB95 Wah to shift at a dumb price...

Who doesn't love Dunlop Wah pedals? Well, now is your best chance to buy and own a BRAND NEW, never used, original and boxed Dunlop GCB95 Wah pedal for just £39.00. Yep, this isn't a typo, I need the space and this baby has to go, and soon!! Normal RRP around £89.00 so a huge discount if you're on the look out for a Dunlop Wah.

The Cry Baby GCB95 has the highest frequency range of all Dunlop pedals. This makes it especially suitable for clean and distorted sounds, such as the legendary rhythm that we still remember from the Shaft soundtrack, or from the title tune of "The Streets of San Francisco".

Schaller New Old Stock (NOS) now available!!

Schaller New Old Stock (NOS) now available!!

We are pleased to announce that we have acquired a large box of NOS Schaller bass and guitar bridges, machineheads, pickup covers and surrounds. These are boxed items and classed as new old stock (NOS). While the parts themselves are in excellent condition, the packaging in many cases is very poor. There appears to be some water damage to the packaging in some cases but as I have said, this hasn't affected the parts themselves. If the packaging is too far gone we will remove the item and place it in a plastic sleeve along with some of the packaging to show it is Schaller. Unfortunately, Schaller don't mark many of their products so this is the only way we can retain provinance.

Some of the bridges are no longer made so they may be difficult to locate so it's worth keeping an eye on our website as we start to add them. Alternatively, give me a call on 01803 297297 or 07791 299 611 to check what we have.

With regards the bridges, we appear mostly to have bass bridges but I have noticed several guitar bridges in amongst them. However, on first look we don't seem to have the popular Schaller 455 guitar bridge. If that changes, I will update this notice to let you know.

Read this 2012 review by Peter Hodgson @ Buy Dr Ducks here

Simply put a few drops of Ax Wax on an applicator patch, spread it around, let it set for two minutes then buff with an appropriate cloth. Ax Wax does not dry, so if it still appears wet or if it feels sticky to the touch, just give it a little more elbow grease – which I found myself having to do the first few times I used it. It doesn’t tint or stain the finish, and it seems gentle enough to use on most finishes. You can use it on the entire guitar, including metal parts such as pickup covers and tuning keys, and on plastic parts such as pick guards and electronics cavity covers. I found it took a bit more buffing to get plastic parts looking their best, but it worked its magic on metal rather quickly.

Dr Duck recommends cleaning around the frets with a tooth brush prior to using Ax Wax on your fretboard. Once you’ve done that, the procedure is much the same as for the body. Just buff it out with an all-cotton polishing cloth afterwards. This will clean the fretboard itself as well as the frets, and make the playing surface feel nice and slick.

Dr Duck recommends treating strings with Ax Wax immediately after putting on a fresh set, to prolong their life to almost as long as that of treated strings while retaining the natural tone of untreated strings. It can also be used on strings that have started to go dead, or if they’ve gone squeaky. And it doesn’t seem to make as bad a “fingernails down the blackboard” sound as any other string conditioner I’ve tried.

You can also use Ax Wax to increase the efficiency of string contact points – ie: the bridge saddes, the nut, or a Bigsby roller bar. Lube these points up with a small cloth or a Q-Tip and you’ll decrease the friction at these locations when the string moves. This is invaluable for helping a Bigsby return to perfect pitch, or for those who perform behind-the-nut bends on a Telecaster, or for those who use light strings, but it’s something which can benefit any guitar player.

Floyd Rose feel creaky? Fine tuners not turning like they should? Tuning keys sticking? Apply some Ax Wax to these areas with a Q-Tip to increase their efficiency. Your Floyd will get its flutter back. This is a criminally overlooked aspect of proper guitar maintenance – how many players even stop to think about lubricating their tremolo posts? But due to its all-in-one nature, Ax Wax allows you to take care of this crucial step while you’re polishing your finish, conditioning your fretboard, cleaning your strings and buffing your metal bits.

There’s really nothing Ax Wax can’t do when it comes to cleaning or lubing your guitar. And not to sound all ‘infomercial segment on morning TV’ but it really does take the place of half a dozen different products, it’s inexpensive and most importantly of all, it works.

NOS / Clearance Stock - Some Guidance

NOS / Clearance Stock - Some Guidance

Some buyers have asked what clearance stock is and how this is different from new stock. It's a valid question.

In general terms, all of our stock is NEW STOCK and in most cases, the packaging is in excellent or very good condition. However, in some cases, especially where the packaging is paper based, it may have been damaged, is tatty or sometimes, it's missing. For this reason, we class all of our stock as NEW OLD STOCK (NOS) and when you buy, you can be assured that despite the packaging, the product itself is brand new and fit for purpose.

The photo above is a good example of extreme damage to the packaging. This could be from water, or storage in a damp location. However, the actual component is well protected and is in perfect condition. It's worth noting that not all products look like this. In order to provide you with the worst possible packaging scenario we have included this photo as an extreme case. In truth, many if not most of the products we sell will be in normal packaging and the item will be, for all intent and purpose, brand new.

The above photo is of a just a few of the 100's of Graphtech parts that we have in stock and it shows that the majority of our products are well packaged.

With regards re-packaging, where the packing is so damaged as to be useless, we may repackage the item. Where we can, we will always try to include some part of the original packaging to show that this is the brand that you ordered. For example, for Schaller pickup surounds we will include where possible the part of the packaging carrying the part number or at least the logo. We have no reason to supply counterfit parts as we have large stocks of original parts in their original packaging, irrespective of how good or bad that packaging is.

Where a component manufacturer cannot be identified, i.e. the packaging has become completely detached, we will sell this item as a clearance product at a vastly reduced price. You should check our clearance section regularly for such bargains.

If you prefer that we ship your parts inside the original packaging for proof, simply add a note to the order and we will send exactly what we have, packaging and all. If we can't do this, for example of the part has become detached from it's packaging, then we will contact you before shipment.

Finally, it's worth noting that many of our unbranded items, this might include switches (other than Dimarzio, Fender etc), hardware parts, scratchplates and other items of this type may have never been packaged. In such cases we will supply them exactly as we received them, without any specific packaging other than that required to ship them to you.

If you have any additional questions give me a call on 0044 1803 297297 and I'll try to help further.
